Hi Guys,

I am sending my citizenship application form and in the checklist for documents there is one for:

• Photocopies of school records for yourself (if applicable) and for any minor children.

I got my university degree from UK and I have attended a 3 months course here and also I got my real state license as well from UBC. Do these count for school records or should I not tick the box?

What do they mean by school records? Is it any course that you might have attended in Canada?

I don’t want my application be returned for just ticking the box that may be was not necessary?

I do not have any children, so I don’t have to send anything for them.

I would appreciate if you guys can help.

"Note: You must have successfully finished a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French. A single course done in English or French does not meet the requirement. The diploma, certificate or transcript should be in English or French. It should clearly show that the program was completed with English or French as the language of instruction."

I think you misunderstood what I meant. So I have my IELTS tesr results and Bachleors degree and Masters degree from a university in the UK. So I have not problem with that. there is a seperate check box for language evidence for that.

I was just wondering in the section that they call up for Photocopies of school records for yourself (if applicable) and for any minor children. ... do I have to tick the box or not?

You need to provide school records for any courses you took in the LAST 4 YEARS prior to your application. I guess you checked yes in The form Question 6.F-B since you attended school in Canada, so yes you need to provide records for that and also for your school in UK if it's in the last 4 years.

Yes, you need to tick off the box for school record. And as a record, I would send them both the copy of the certificate/diploma and official transcript (I know it says either would be fine but to be safe, send them both).
