Do you think my application to sponsor my wife will be denied?

My wife stayed in Canada on a 4 year work permit. During her second year she was struggling to find work, because LMO jobs around here seem impossible to find. She applied everywhere, but she couldn't receive work because nobody wanted to deal with the tedious LMO process.

We began talking in June 2014, and started dating in July 2014. We had a great connection, but she was worried about having to leave the country due to her inability to find work.

Prior to that, a Multicultural Assocation advised her to apply for the """refugee status"""", because in her country there was war going on (she is from the Ukraine). If she could receive the refugee status, they said she would be able to become a citizen and find easier work.

I didn't know anything about immigration at that time, but she sounded confident it was worth a try.

Finally in October we received a letter the refugee status was denied, and they informed her she had a mandatory 30 days to leave country. We were so angry with the multicultural assocation, because they never informed us this could happen!

Since then we have applied for visitor visa, and they said they'd never give her one because of "her past attempts to stay in Canada".

Since then we've got married in August 2015, and I filed my application to sponsor her as my spouse in December. But the whole process has been freakish and expensive nightmare. I worry day and night that they'll think she only married for permanent residence.

It is up to you to prove that your relationship is genuine and it will definitely be an uphill battle the way the situation looks. What did you send as proof of your relationship? If you get called for an interview, you need to know a lot about each others habits and families so the best you can do right now is to turn off the TV and spend a lot of time together and a lot of time talking.

Well I hired a good lawyer and I followed all her advice. I sent all of starting emails, love emails, pictures of the duration of our relationship (200 pictures or so), 100 pages of our conversations on Facebook and Skype, etc.), a youtube video of a 10 minute clip of our wedding. And I also proved that I've been sending her money to help her. Stuff like that.

It's more so just the refugee status thing I'm worried for. The timing of it looks bad because she did it when we first started dating).

Lol we talk to each other on facebook hours each day. Once a week we have video conversations on skype...some lasting 2 hours. I showed some of it.

What you sent looks fine - apart from the youtube video. CIC will only consider printed evidence. They won't look at anything online, or on any media like a usb stick or DVD.
