Hello I got an ITA and in process of filling statutory questions. One of the questions is
Has my name ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?:
For which I answered. yes with this detail
I was once rejected for the extension of Post Graduate Work Permit. When I finished my Masters back in 2012, i applied for post graduate work permit. I got that permit from 19-June-2012 to 19 May 2015 (the same day when my passport was expiring) i.e. for 2 years 11 months. Since my degree program was of 2 academic years so I was eligible to get 3 years work permit. On 1st May 2015 i.e. 18 days before the expiry of my permit, i made an extension application so that I can claim my remaining 1 month and I hired an immigration consultant for that. Unfortunately, CIC deemed my application as incomplete because the complete fee was not paid and issued a letter on June 15, 2015 stating that my temporary resident status expires on the same date as the expiry of my work permit i.e. May 19, 2015. My consultant informed me on July 6, 2015. Unknowingly, I kept working till this date and upon knowing I resign from my work place and inform CIC through phone. According to that letter, I was ordered to apply within 90 days from the day of expiry of my status should I wish to restore my status or leave immediately. I talked to my consultant and asked him what are my available options to stay in Canada and he advised to apply for any degree program and stay as a student. I thought about it and decided for my best interest that I should leave Canada for now and later apply as a Federal Skilled Worker in future. So I departed on 13 August 2015. Please feel free to ask any question in case if the details are not clear and I will make my best possible efforts to explain with the satisfactory proofs.
My question is if you guys can understand what went wrong so in my opinion CIC officer too will understand?
