Do you need a degree for BC PNP?

Hi, I've got a mate looking to apply for the BC PNP. He has a permanent job offer, 8 years experience in his industry which is a skilled industry and finally, he has a hDip and diploma in the field. He's looking to see if its worth his time applying despite not having a degree?

It depends on NOC code.

Mine is 2281 and there is a statement "blah-blah-blah diploma is usually required" in the description.
In my case I have no diploma in the computer-related field (but have a Civil Engineer's diploma), but got the nomination.
