I'm not sure that you understand your situation. You are not in compliance with the residency obligation requirements and any attempt to renew your PR card will cause this non-compliance to be investigated. You will, unless you can prove an H&C defence, almost certainly lose your PR status. It doesn't matter if you use a lawyer or not.

Too late. OP already applied for PR renewal a year ago without being anywhere close to meeting RO and with the family's PR cards four years expired.

I don't have a good lawyer for you but I have a good advice... Stay where you are. Not only you applied without meeting requirements, you even left while you have the renewal application in process. How are you going to pick your card when they ask you to appear in person?
