It says "If you are currently working in Canada, proof of your current employment- a letter from your employer"

Sorry, i missunderstood your question...

I dont think you needd to give any explanation to them as long as you have a valid Permit, neither I did...Just filled out the forms and attached a reference letter from my company and recent paystub with it. Thats It
