Do We need an new PCC for 5 months Stay in India

Hi Team,

I am currently on Work permit and put up an application in the Express entry portal in Sep 2023, after I gained 1 year of CEC. Me and my wife also got the PCC from India in Sep 2023 but she travelled to India from Nov 2023 till March 2024 (Close to 5 months). We got an ITA on April 11th. Do we need to submit a new PCC for her less than 6 months of stay.

To be on safe side, I am applying for a new PCC but If I don't receive it in 2 months, Can I submit my application with old PCC and an explanation letter stating we applied for new PCC and its still in Progress?

I also called IRCC call center about the same, she said that as the stay is less than 6 months you don't need a new PCC. I am bit confused on how to go about it.

A youtube short of Ask Kubair says to be on safer side get a new PCC.

Just for people like me, I applied for a new PCC and submitted my application with new PCC.
Here are some pointers for the above scenario

1. I called up a helpdesk to understand the process, as per norms, if your stay is less than 6 months then ideally you don't need one, and If the assessing officer wants new PCC he/she will raise an ADR request
2. All throughout the internet people are divided but AskKubeir mentioned better to get a new one

I submitted my application with 2 days left. For people in the same boat, try submitting for a new PCC, if you don't get it just in time submit an LOE with a proof that new PCC process started will submit it if needed.
