There are multiple opinions on this but based on the information in the below link, POF is mandatory for all EE applicants.

I got my ITA under CEC category they state on my checklist:

"If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile.

Your financial profile includes a listing of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts. The official letter must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include your name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the account numbers, dates of when each account was opened and the balance of each account over the previous 6 months."

Some banks may charge a fee for this. Just to clarify you by no means have to have thousands in the bank like the other category, it's just a 6 months history.

Is it ok if my dad transfer CAD 14,000 in my bank account 2-3 days after ITA? or should I have whole amount in my bank account for last 6 months?

Like I said under CEC you don't need to have a minimum amount of funds. Just make sure you haven't spent the past 6 months overdrawn perhaps?!
I believe the reason they ask is to see if you'd be low income.

Technically there's no requirement for CEC but they do ask for proof of funds.

So you should be fine with this.

For what it's worth I'm CEC and I just submitted one copy of a bank statement (although the funds in it were enough for any stream's restrictions) and I've not been asked about proof of funds since.

Having said that I've not flagpoled yet and I have heard it's wise to bring proof of funds when you do even if CECs are often not asked.

As I say though, there's not technically any requirement for CEC streamers so you should be fine.

I'm not sure, but you don't have to have that much in your account under CEC. FSW is different and I can't comment on that.

Then I would suggest following their requirements as closely as possible and providing as much proof as you can...

I don't know of anyone who's been cancelled on a POF basis but better to be safe.
