Do they ask for insurance in port of entry?

Our friends parents are coming here in super visa. as their trip was delayed he cancelled the insurance that he submitted for visa. now they are coming only for 5 months and he is planning to take the insurance from Manulife just for their duration.

Does the port of entry people still ask the 1 year term insurance as they are coming in super visa?

Yes, they must have minimum CAD 100,000 insurance coverage for at least one year.... for each super visa entry
