Hi,

One of my my past roles is project coordinator for a Medical Communications agency. It primarily saw me doing project management and some financial analysis. Below are the my duties.

  • Using scientific knowledge and excellent time management skills, rapidly scan journal content to identify articles that merit reprint sales opportunities, contain key marketing messages and appropriate target clients.
  • Accurately enter article details into our internal database using administrative skills.
  • Produce weekly reports detailing newly published saleable articles and relevant pharmaceutical news stories to send to our global sales teams
  • For all weekly projects/reports develop a project plan for the week, coordinate with team members and use teamwork/communication to appropriately delegate responsibilities within team
  • Manage several projects/reports a week and use organisation skills to continually establish work priorities
  • Each week several reports/internal newsletters are distributed from the department - oversee and coordinate tasks within team to ensure all weekly project processes and deadlines are met
  • Plan company conference calendar - identify the year’s most important medical conferences which the company should be attending to generate brand exposure and global recognition of our services; publishing articles in our journals, procuring reprints or exploring medical education options.
  • Financial analysis - bi-annual analysis of our journal allocation to ascertain revenue obtained per product -use information gained to alter journal allocation going forward and modify project planning.
    • Principal aim to assess journal scanning allocation and maximise revenue generated in reprints against time spent analysing journal
  • Continual feedback to colleagues and supervisors on modifying and implementing best working/administrative practice
  • Using our internal databases and business intelligence products, produce custom reports to help inform our sales people (e.g. producing drug pipeline reports)

I am leaning toward using NOC code 1221

  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
  • Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
  • Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes
  • Assist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • May supervise records management technicians and related staff.

Do you guys think this is a fit?
