Do I still need to apply to extend my visitor visa

Hi all,

I really need help..

I have submitted my application for PR under Spouse sponsorship and together with that, also an open work permit. My OWP was approved in December 28, 2018 and my visitor visa will expires 2019/02/28.

Do I still need to apply to extend my visitor visa?

your visitor visa expires in Feb 28th 2019 and your OWP was approved in Dec 28th 2018.....your OWP was approved when you had status.....and the OWP grants you implied status and you don't need to apply for visitor visa extension......you have implied status until the PR sponsorship is approved

You are under "worker" status since your OWP was approved. So you are staying in Canada legally.
