Hello,

I had submitted my Online Citizenship application on June 1st, 2021. However I just realized i entered wrong information regarding my employment. I got hired to work for company ABC via a temporary agency from Sep 2018 to Sep 2019. The ABC company directly hired me from Oct 2019 to currently still employed. However, the duration I entered on my citizenship application for ABC company is start date from Sep 2018 (was hired thru temp agency) to currently employed. So basically i totally skipped the temp agency employment and instead showed that ABC company employed me from Sep 2018 when instead they actually hired me from Oct 2019. My role and position in the company during the Entire employment period stayed the same.

So my question is, how do I correct the mistake I made. Do i need to withdraw my application or send the correction via webform. Please note that I haven't received any AOR as of today and prolly won't receive it until another couple of months, given the current processing times for online applications. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't think this is an issue. You actually worked for company ABC during the entire duration from Sep 2018 to "Current" so you can leave it as-is. As long as there are no gaps in this section, I think you should be fine and you do NOT have to withdraw or make any corrections to this application.

This is only my opinion.

Great, thanks for your opinion. I was wondering the same since i'm still fulfilling my physical presence without any gaps and still worked for the same company from Day 1. However, taxes filed for the 2018 year and part of 2019 had the temp agency mentioned as my employer and not sure if that would matter. I appreciate your response and it put my nerves at ease a bit.

If asked (which I doubt they will), you can explain your situation. Work history is being asked to assess your physical presence in Canada, not for anything else. So, your situation isn't really critical because they would be able to pull the tax information from CRA and they can confirm you've been working in Canada for the duration you mentioned.

IMO, you don't have to worry too much about this.
