I applied in Jan 2013.

The company I used to work for is no longer a operating company (which is the job that I used to applied for CEC). Then I got a new job with a different one week after, same job and duties just a different employer. first day for my current company was on last Tuesday.

I understand that with CEC program i am bot bounded by one employer and one same job until I got my PR.
So with this case, should I still update my employment info with CEC? When I applied in Jan, the job i used had 1.5 years history and met the requirement of NOC.

according to the Jan application schedule, I expected that I will get my MR next month. should I wait for the MR and update? I dont want to delay to rec'd my MR because I update my info with them. I can't wait to get MR.

Please advise with any thoughts kindly and appreciated!

Good luck to you all.

No need to update on your job
You only update if your address or family composition change

I emailed them when I joined a new company. I don't think it's necessary, but since my current employment is something they might come across in their security/background check via a simple crosscheck of my SIN number and my employment history, why risk looking like I have something to hide...

Yes, nothing wrong with that. It's not required, but only takes 2 minutes to do.

Much debate over this!

What you must remember is that honesty will not negatively impact your application. Informing CIC of a new job will cause no issues with your application.

It's all good.
