Do I need to translate emails and how?

Hello,

I was requested to submit PCC and I was given 2 months period. I submitted through the embassy and apparently the PCC will take longer than 2 months. The two months period is about to end. So I need to upload a document in which I request an extension. However, in order for me to support my request, I will also upload the emails I exchanged with the embassy. The problem the embassy reply was not in English or French.

I only have 3 days left before the 2 months period expires. My question, do I need to translate the email from the embassy following the rule here (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=018&top=4) ? What if I could not manage to do that before the expiry date?

Get it translated and attested.
Email CIC and tell them to extend the timeline by providing the deails/ emails
