When I send my Application Package, I included English Translation for the pages containing Visa Stamps which were not in English from a ATIO Certified Translation company. I have not traveled since I send my Application package.

Now I have been called to give the Test and afterward attend an interview with the CIC officer.

Of course, the Translation Company told me to come back again when it will be time for interview to do the translation again or do a re-cert of the ones they did with an upadted that. It will cost me a fee and the office is far from where I live.

Question is, do I need to again do a translation of the pages like earlier or just take with me the set of copy I kept of the original?

What do you mean by copies? You should carry the translation originals. You should have submitted only the copies. Original is only for verification. If you have submitted originals still take your copies it wont hurt.

Unfortunately, I mailed the original of certified translations pf visa stamps pages and kept copy for myself.

Now, if I want to do it again or get a re-cert (basically the translator updates the date of the translation), then I have to pay again and vsiit their office which is a bit distance from my residence.

CIC should have the original in file. So, if I take the copy with me - will that be OK? I didn't travel after sending in the documents.

You dont have to send any translation of any visa; where did see you have to send it?
Send only the biographical pages, and have the translation ready if the ask for it or have it with you at test/interview.

Why would you guys want to send something that is not required?

Are talking about citizenship application or PR renewal?
Where do see that?

Here is from Citizenship Application Guide:

>>3. Biographical page of passport(s)/travel document(s)

The biographical page means the page that has your name, photo, passport/travel document no., issue date and expiration date.

Provide photocopies of the biographical pages of all passports and/or travel documents (valid and cancelled) for the relevant four (4) year period immediately preceding the date of your application,

Also, provide photocopies of any renewal pages of the passport(s)/travel document(s).

Note: If any of these documents are no longer in your possession please explain why.

Format: Clear and legible photocopy
<<

and this is from checklist:

>>Photocopies of biographical pages of passports and/or travel documents. If these documents are no longer in your possession, provide an explanation letter and see section "Step 1. Gather Documents" in the instruction guide.
<<

It is even in bold to be clear enough.

Maybe the french version is different.

7) Additional documents (as required)

Possible documents are:

translations of documents that are not in English or French
supporting documents to prove a name change
supporting documents to prove a date of birth correction

And if u scroll further down

Translated documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation.
Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

Important information: Translations by family members are not acceptable.

Family member is defined as being a: parent, guardian, sibling, spouse, grandparent, child, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew and first cousin.

Original documents may be requested later in the process by an officer. To avoid delays in the processing of your application, please ensure that you have all the original documents available should an officer request to see them.

Your application will be returned to you if you do not include the translation of your documents and an affidavit from the translator.

Maybe my eyes are tiered or my brain is tiered of people like you. Where do you see anything mentioned about visas translated?
You know what, send them everything; send them also all the picture with you in canada and each one accompanied by an affidavit describing the time/place/duration and description of clothing. As well how did you get there and where did you go after picture taken.

And good luck with you application.

There is no need to get personal. It is forum n its open for discussion. And reason ppl ask questions here is coz they not sure about certain things/seek help. If u r sick n tired of people. U don't have to reply. Moreover I had called CIC and said if my passport/biological pages r not in English it needs to translated.

I apologize if you were talking about translation of biographical page in you passport.
I was under impression you talking about translation of pages with visas that are not english/french.

But if your hands are shaking, calm down and write a question that makes sense.

U r right should have been more clear. Yes I am talking about biological pages but also referring to stamps on it( for example cancelled stamp on old passport could be in different language,as mine is)
