hello, guys.

I am asking questions on behalf my friends.

My friend is planning to visiting his cousin in Canada with his 12-year-old son and his mother who is 60. My friend is married, and raises his son together with his wife.

In this case, my friend has full custody of his son, right?

when he apply visitor visa online, when answer questions about his son, there is one question “Is your family member travelling with a parent who does not have full legal custody of them?”

The answer is NO, right?

He doesn't need to provide custody document, right?

By the way, does he need to prove his relationship with his cousin?

Thanks

Hi,

He doesn't need to provide custody document, right?
When applying for a TRV + when only one parent (married) is traveling with his/her minor child, the parent must carry:
1. Child's passport
2. Child's birth certificate
3. An authorization letter signed by the parent who is not traveling authorizing the child to travel with this parent. The letter must state the address and telephone number of the parent who is not traveling
4. Copy of the other parent's passport

By the way, does he need to prove his relationship with his cousin?
If he has documentation to prove the relationship then fine, else it is okay

Cheers
