Do I need to provide an employment letter?

Hi there, I am currently in the process of helping my parents come visit me from China. The visa office in China has told them that I need to provide an employment letter. Is it true that the person that the applicant is visiting needs to provide an employment letter?

While it may not be necessary in most cases, the CHC office in China has requested it. (They can request almost anything they want) If you don't send it, then there is a good chance their TRV will be refused. But it is your choice.
