Do I need to prepare a SOP?

HI every one .. I am applying for the ACCA plus MBA program from LSBF.

Well my employer is the one who is sponsoring me and for this he has provided me with the following documents

1. A letter saying that he will financially support for all my expenses
2. Tax Papers
3. Incorporation Letter of the company
4. 6 months bank Statement along with the Bank Certificate.
5. A contract letter for the upcoming years showing that I will continue working with my organization once I complete my education and come back.

Please confirm if I need to prepare a SOP because my case is very clear enough. The immigration officer can be concerned about the following queries

1. Will I return to my country?

For this I already have a contract saying the same thing that I have to return.

2. Why ACCA from Canada not from Pakistan or any other county?

For this I can say that I never though of studying from Canada but my employer has given me an option to achieve international education than why should I stay in Pakistan. Its the biggest reward that I have got and I want to avail it.
Also Canada studies are recognized all over the world and is the best place to be in.

My question is in my case should I prepare a SOP stating all the above things?
I believe its better I Should not, as preparing a SOP will reflect my desperation to come there and may create a doubt in immigration officer's mind, I should make it simple.

What do you suggest?

You will not loss any thing if you will write good SOP ,SOP makes the things clear to the visa officer ,and i think ,i got my study permit because of my SOP

Thanks Nour but in my case SOP will reflect the desperation of going to Canada and this might create a doubt that I will come back or not. Why should I inform the Immigration officer that I already know what he is going to ask? Why should I inform him that i have planned answering him already. Better making it simple and if he will ask him than i will answer him in the interview

Do whatever you think is good for you.

SOP is not everything! your funds availablity, home ties, IELTS score, the same course availiblity in your country all these things matter.

Here is the thing: Let's suppose, I am a visa officer and you don't send a SOP as part of your application.

Then, I review your file.

OK. You are going to persue ACCA from canada. The same course available in Pakistan. I can seach this info on Google like which schools are offering it in Pakistan or else I will ask my Pakistani colleagues who will guide me about this.

when you can do the same course in Pakistan at much lower cost then you don't need to waste huge sum of money of your employer. It does not make sense.

There, I will refuse your application on the basis of the same course availibilty in Pakistan.

Now you have got no option to defend your position(cuz there is no face to face interview
). Here comes SOP. Explain why doing ACCA from Canada is more beneficial. Give strong reasons.

Computer Sci is being offered in Pakistan everywhere. I mean, first time when pakistani students were exposed to C language,students in the USA were already studying C sharp.

Outside Pakistan, every country has standard. Be specific. Avoid general language like "Canadian edu is recognized all over the world." Then, What about USA/AUS/UK/NZ etc

Im not very much familiar with ACCA but you can talk about
- course contents
- hands on experience
- quality of instruction by professors
- exposed to multiculturalism
- value of degree back at home
- develop good communication skills in English

How will it help your employer when you come back home? Work on it.

Chill, ! You will get study permit 100% sure.

No one was refused at airport. Atleast Im not aware of any such person.

Hi Nour, I am also planning to apply from Abu Dhabi my study permit. Based from your post, you are planning to leave UAE, does it mean that you applied also from UAE? Can you please give me some tip regarding SOP.

Just go to Visatronix office and ask them to give u Canadian high commission required documents for study permit,


Hope u can fine SOP written there..

that piece of paper is not written by visatronix,,its by chc Islamabad.
