Do I need to have police clearance certificate and medical certificate before ITA ?

Hello,

I am in early stages of PR application. I have a question:

I got my IELTS score and arranging my experience certificate from India.

I am an Indian applicant working in Canada on PGWP.

As per my knowledge, one puts his/her profile in express entry, and then based on points one gets an Invitation to apply.

Can I put my application in express entry pool while I am waiting for police clearance certificate and medical certificate.

Do I need to have police clearance certificate and medical certificate before ITA ?

If you know you have enough points to get the ITA then you should request for police certificate ASAP because once you get your ITA you have a limited time to upload your documents. Not sure how long your country will take to send you police certificate. Also make sure the police certificate is not expired by the time you upload docs. Regarding medicals, you don't need to worry about it now. After about a month of uploading and submitting your docs CIC will get back to you asking to do the medical test.
