Do I need to get 1 Police Character Certificate or 2 of them from each City?

Dear Members,
I really need help in this regard.

The temporary address stated on my NIC is that of Rawalpindi as I was living in a rented house with my family from 2004 - 2008.
The permanent address stated on my NIC is that of Islamabad which was our own house and I shifted there in 2008 after completion of its construction. I am applying for a visa for January - 2012 intake and thus I now dont have time to submit an application to NADRA for a change in my NIC. :'(

I have been living in Islamabad since 2008. Tell me, do I need to produce 2 PCCs (Rawalpindi Police and Islamabad Police) or the 1 from Islamabad police will be enough?

1. No, you only need 1 from Isbad.

goodluck with your visa application. some months ago I too had to undergo awl this .... my temporary address on the NIC is of Wah Cantt.(near Taxila) and permanent address of khanpur,Haripur NWFP! ... i got the police clearance certificate from Wah Cantt. - leading to RWP (as RWP is the Zilla for Wah Cantt.) ... the police clearance certificate issued from RWP had a statement like " this is from the RWP etc...further verification MAY BE obtained from khanpur, Haripur, NWFP) ..

i did not want to waste some more days on getting the clearance from NWFP police...i applied for the visa on the above clearance certificate. However, just to be on the safe side, I got the clearance certificate from Khanpur NWFP later on...

Fortunately, g0t the visa from CHC without being asked for the clearance from NWFP ... this is h0w it worked for me...

Wont the point stating "PCC from every area/ district where you have resided since you turned 18 years old" will be problem?

Moreover, what exactly will you write on the affidavit? I am asking this because I havent been living in one city throughout my life. For example, my stay when I'll get a PCC from Islamabad, what duration will I write in that as I have been living since 2008? Before that I was in Rawalpindi (2004 - 2008). I turned 18 in 2004, October.

I would be really helpful to anyone if someone can mail me an affidavit.

Collected both the PCCs (Rawalpindi + Islamabad) today ... Both took 4 days in total ! .. Thankyou to everyone for their guidance!
