Do I need the police certificates for PR in physical format?

I am applying for the PR through Express Entry. I need to submit the police records for all the countries I've lived in. One of them is for France, and although I received it electronically, I did not request the phisycal copy. Will I need to mail the original ones or will it suffice with the scanned version of the original document?

Hmmmm, seems like France changed their delivery methods for PCC (Bulletin N°3)... Standard mail was the only method barely a few months ago. Anywho.

Electronic copy should be enough, just like it's the case for FBI PCC. But do ask for physical copy by mail if you haven't already done so.
In the --very-- unlikely event that you are asked to take an interview at a Canada Embassy, you may be required to show all original documents you provided. Better be safe just in case.
