Do I need an LMO or no?

I have a post grad work permit that will expire in August 3, 2014.
I am currently looking for a job. If I find a job, then I for sure need to apply for a work permit so that I can work in Canada post August 3, 2014.

BUT, do I need an LMO if I was hired with a post grad work permit?

Thanks.

You can only work on a PGWP until wp expiry, which is like 3 months away. Beyond that you need another work permit which you can only get with an LMO - unless you are eligible for an open work permit through some other way e.g. you have a PR application in process which has passed initial stage of review (called AOR in CEC, i forgot the name for FSW's etc.)

Your permission to work with the PGWP expires on August 3, 2014. If you want to continue working beyond that and another WP is the only way than your employer will have to apply for a LMO, no exceptions

Approval in Principle( for Federal Skilled Worker Application) if the applicant is deemed eligible for Permanent Resident application then he is qualified to apply for an Open Work Permit.
