This is driving me crazy. Does anyone know if an LMIA is required for coaching for a Canadian sports team? I work as a gymnastics coach with High Performance athletes. On the website, CIC, under jobs that don't require LMIA, it says that coaches working for Canadian based teams are one of them. On other sites, it says that I DO need an LMIA if I can't prove that I am part of an exchange program or whatever... The "code" for my job title is 5252 - Coach, and classifies as Skilled Worker - Cathegory B.
Would be so helpful if anyone had any information to share about this.
