Rabiafazl Hi there,my name is Rabia. I have come to US for a visit and i got a six months visa. Now there is a wedding coming in canada of a friend that i wish to attend. Can i apply for visit visa from USA. Also i am a citizen of pakistan nd hold a PR of student .. Does my PR makes me eligible for e-visa? Or i would just be needing an entry stamp to canada on the border aince i would be traveling by road. Please help me out and if i need to apply for visit visa where should i go ? Off? As you hold a Pakistan passport, you must apply for a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa). eTAs are issued to passport holders from visa-exempt countries.

The TRV counterfoil will be stamped in your passport. On arrival, your stay will be assessed by the officer at the Port of Entry.

It would have been better if you had applied for a TRV when you were in Sweden instead of the US where you have only visitor status. Anyways.

Oh ok thank u ,how long is this visa process? and sweden PR ship wont help?
As you are applying from the US, processing time could take longer than usual. Most applications of Pakistan passport holders tend to take longer as background checks may be done.

Your Swedish PR could help. What's important is how you became a PR i.e. by spousal sponsorship or by economic immigration or as a refugee.

I recommend you go through the document checklist + Visa Office instructions + this forum for suggestions to prepare a strong application. Don't rush
