Hi guys!

I will be entering the EE pool and expect an ITA in the next draw, CRS: 521. I've lived in The Netherlands for 6 months (1st February 2013 to 30th July 2013). Within this six month period I've traveled to other countries in EU, but do not have passport stamps to prove that, as there is no border control within EU. However, I have also traveled to the UK twice within this 6 month period for a total of 16-17 days. So the total time I've spent in The Netherlands is less than 6 months. Although technically, I don't have to submit a PCC for the Netherlands with my initial application as Netherlands requires the request letter from IRCC, will I be asked for a PCC at a later stage? Anybody has any experience with obtaining a Dutch police clearance? How easy/ difficult is the process?

Thanks!

you need PCC for 6 months living in Netherlands.
Because you were a temp resident of the Netherlands for 6 months. you were just making trips to other EU countries during your stay.

Think of it this way. your past addresses should have said that you lived there for 6 months. you probably only mentioned those other trips in the travel history and not the address lived in the past. so the officer will see that you were there long enough to apply for a PCC.

Also, JUST APPLY NOW. Call the embassy or consulate general or check their website. I applied my Japanese PCC without a letter even though CIC website said to wait until you receive one. and I asked the consulate general beforehand and they said they don't mandatorily require the letter from me. it takes a long time so just apply as soon as you can. =]

Thanks Johyo. Yes I'll be mentioning the address in my past lived addresses. I'll try contacting the Department of justice. Other experts, any thoughts?

It's close enough that you may as well request it - better to be over prepared than rejected for something so simple.

Thanks guys! I'm preparing to apply for the police clearance as the website says it can take up to 4 weeks to get one. I don't know if they will process my request without an ITA. Anybody has any experience with Dutch police certificate?

Experts please??
