Do I need a custodian form if i am 17 yrs old?

Hi. I am applying for study permit extension soon, and I am wondering if I need a custodian since i am turning 18 in January 2016.
On the website, it says that I may or may not need it so...!! please help?

I am also facing the same problem . I will turn 18 on oct 25th .I don't know what to do about it

At 17, normally you don't need one. BUT, "at the discretion of the visa officer", it might be required.

Apply without. It's not a requirement. Ask your school's international student advisor how they deal with it (you'll not be the first or last).
