Hello:

I did my landing as PR in 2014 and went back after 2 months. Now I will be joining university directly in 2017 after finishing my GCSE -A' levels.
- Do I have to pay my first year tution fee as an international student or as a PR which is quite less?
- Will I be able to get Osap loan from the first year?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

What makes you think you are an international student? You landed, you are a PR. Same goes for your student loan.

Thanks for the reply.

what I have come to know that you have to live in Canada for at least 1 year to be eligible for the University fee for a PR? And for the first year one has to pay full fee?
I hope this is wrong.

Hi,

I have received a PPR. My daughter is doing her 3rd year Engg at Queens Univ. We plan to enter Canada for Record of Landing in May 2015. I have a few queries for reduction of fee after receiving a PR -
a) Is the proof of record of landing and subsequent stamping of PR on passport sufficient for us to request the lower fee?
b) Alternatively, do we need a PR card (normally available after 3 months of landing) or any other document to avail the facility?

The next fee is due in September 2015.

Thanx n rgds

But, you will not be eligible for OSAP unless you or your parents have lived in Canada for at least 12 months.
