Do I have to pass eligibility check to be qualify to apply bridge work permit?

Please kindly share your experience, thank you.

I am currently working in Canada and holding LMIA work permit which is about to expire less than 4 months.
I had received AOR under CEC program, eligibility check in progress.
I checked that I had met all the requirement list on official website.

I tried to apply BOWP but the online tool told me I am not eligible cause I don't have new positive LMIA.
Did I answered question wrong? e.g. I choose 'I have job offer'.
Or do I have to wait until I passed the eligibility check?
But what if my work permit expires before it?

You have to answer "Yes" to the question about being approved in principle... and attach your AOR.

You can apply now, you don´t have to wait until you pass eligibility review - but your BOWP application will not be processed until you do.

In the meantime, as long as you apply for the BOWP before your current work permit expires, you can continue working on implied status until you get a response to your BOWP application.
