Guys I have australian citizenship and would just be in canada due to some of my family members live there.

If I get PR in Quebec as skilled worker, do I have to live in Canada to keep my PR. Does PR in canda need to be renewed at any stage or it is given indefinately?

Yes you need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to retain your PR status.

does we need to stay in Canada for 2 years out of every 5 years or only for the 1st time? what is the time requirement to get the canadian passport?

You need to stay in Canada for 2 out of every 5 rolling years to keep your PR card. No - this certainly isn't just the first time. It's ongoing / indefinite.

Under the current rules, you need to live in Canada for 4 out of 6 years to qualify to apply for citizenship.
