I'm applying CEC and just got the file Number. Do I have any change to apply for an open work permit? Right now, I'm unemployed. Will I get OWP if I have a job offer?

I married and spouse is PR. Is this situation helpful?

BTW, I have an OWP, and it expired one month ago.

Thanks.

It doesn't sound like you qualify for an OWP.

If you still had a valid work permit then you could apply for a BOWP once you have your CEC AOR (which is sounds like you now do). However since your work permit has expired I don't think applying for a BOWP is possible.

Getting a job offer won't get you an OWP. However if you have a job offer and an approved LMIA - then you can apply for a closed work permit.

The fact your spouse is a PR unfortunately doesn't help.

This was already answered in your previous thread.

I will reiterate that having a PR spouse or a CEC app submitted doesn't change the fact that you are currently in Canada illegally. You MUST apply to restore your status as a visitor.
