I am a visual artists and i sell prints of my work. My work permit is up and i can not get another one due to the IEC changes but am hopefully switching to visitor status as my common law application gets put together. I have let y employers/clients know i can not do any commercial work for them but was thinking perhaps i can still make a little money selling prints. I cant see how my art would impact the labour market in Canada.

If anyone has any insight to this i would love to here from you.

thanks

If you are selling your prints outside of Canada and being paid outside of Canada, there is no problem.

If you are selling your prints here in Canada and being paid in Canada, then you are working in Canada. If you are doing this while here as a visitor, you are illegally working.

Agreed. You need a work permit to sell your prints in Canada. Otherwise you are working illegally.
