I have a question about confirming Canadian citizenship. I am the illegitimate child of my biological parents, who were both married to other people at the time I was conceived. Both my biological parents are dead. My father was born in Canada to Canadian parents, which means I am legally a citizen of Canada.
My question is whether/how to use DNA test results to prove my parentage. I have a first cousin in Canada and a half-niece born in the US that I match with based on genome test results. Can this be used as proof, or can DNA tests with my half-siblings be used? I have no legal documents establishing a connection. To my biological father, but the DNA tests are conclusive.
