I've been trying to get an answer to this question but I'm getting contradictory answers so I thought I'd ask here again in detail. I am simply trying to change my university in Canada.
1) I completed my first program in Canada from Sept 2021-Apr 2022
2) I got accepted into a second program at Seneca that would run from Sept 2022-Apr 2023
3) I applied for a study permit extension for the same and got my study permit
4) I received an offer letter from York University (also Sept 2022-Apr 2023) which I accepted
5) I applied for a change in DLI through my CIC portal
My old and new programs have the same duration, and neither have a co-op requirement. I have not left Canada since I entered in September 2021.
I wanted to confirm if I've done the right thing at step 5, and that I don't need to apply for a new study permit extension. I also wanted to understand how I could confirm that my DLI has been changed as there was no confirmation, only a confirmation that my "request had been sent".
