Hi Friends,
Need your advice as I could not find a similar thread posted before.
I am a PR, landed in Canada, April 2016, though my wife and son too got the visa stamped they did not land in Canada and subsequently their visa got expired.

I got a job and was working in Toronto. Due to serious health issues of a family member , I need to quit the job and travel back to India in February 2017.
Meanwhile my spouse filed for divorce in India and got it exparte(in my absence), and the divorce decree was issued in January 2018.

Now, do I need to update CIC on the change of family composition?if yes, what all documents do I require.
Next, if I remarry(in India), what is the process to add her and get her to Canada.

pls suggested me if someone have been thought this before or know a similar situation.

Thanks in advance
-Raja

Please note that all that you have mentioned above are major changes. However, since you are already a PR, your situation may be different. As long as you maintain your PR (stay in Canada) imo you are fine.

Since you need to at all points in time keep the CIC updated on any change in your status and these are significant changes that will come up when you apply for your NEW spouse, it maybe a good idea to write to them and ask. GL

Thanks for the response buddy.

Is it good to inform now or wait till I add new spouse?

better to inform any change at the earliest and keep a record of your correspondence and their reply for future.

no benefit in delaying, but the implications (in the future) of delaying could be undesirable. GL
