Divorce after landing as married couple

I and my spouse immigrated to Canada last year under Ontario Provincial Nomination. I was nominated by Ontario and included my husband on my application as an accompanying dependent. Soon after we landed and became PRs of Canada, our relationship began breaking down because my husband has an affair with a new girl here. I cannot forgive him and decided that we will get divorced.

#1. I heard that under the new law, sponsored spouse must stay with the sponsor for a period of 2 year otherwise they will be deported. Does this restriction also apply to my case? I didn't sponsor him for immigration.

#2. After divorce, will I still be financially responsible for him for 3 years? Can I claim myself as a single for tax purpose?

I highly appreciate your answers.

1) No - there is no such law at this time.

2) No - this doesn't apply to you. This would only apply to you if you had sponsored your husband through the spousal sponsorship (family) class.
