Dear All, am I right that a distracted driving conviction, which is under the Ontario Highway Act, is NOT a criminal offense but a traffic offense (I think it was a couple of demerit points and 3 day license suspension or something like that), and so does not impact eligibility for applying for citizenship?
Is it also true that, since it is not an indictable offense (and there are no other offenses), all the questions regarding criminality on the citizenship application can be honestly answered as "no" (as in: can my friend answer no to all these questions and not mention this at all)?
