Distance learning degree - Considered?

Hi all,

I'm planning to apply in CEC category from India. I have completed 12 yrs of schooling + 3 yrs of Engineering diploma. After that I have done 3 yrs of Engineering degree thru distance learning.

Is there any issue due to this distance learning degree?

Pls advise on this.

If you end up working in Canada for 1 year (in a skilled position), then it doesn't matter where or how you get your degree.

Your challenge would be getting a work permit and acquiring the skilled experience to be eligible for the CEC class. Engineering is generally a restricted profession requiring provincial certifications, so you will likely have barriers to contend with trying to work as an engineer in Canada with that diploma.
