Distance Education !!! PLZ Help

HI,

I have completed my Bachelors of Commerce from Vinayaka Mission University Tamil Nadu Salem in distance education.

Somebody told me that canadian govt don't except distance education or correspondence course from any university and your PR application will be straight away reject.

Please throw some light on the said subject.. as i am about register for the WES tommorow.

it is accepted as long as the institution is recognised by UGC and DEB at the time you got admission.

One more advice go for ICAS and not WES.I got following reply from them few days back


For postsecondary study completed in India, we are able to assess the following:
· Qualifications awarded by institutions which were recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) at the time of admission
· Programs recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) at the time of admission
· Distance education programs recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC) or UGC at the time of your admission
· Qualifications awarded by State Boards of Technical Education
·
It is our understanding that Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), when assigning points for immigration, only take into consideration your highest completed qualification. This, of course, should be verified with the IRCC.
