• You refused thousands of applications of Pre 28 Feb 2008 .thousands of people are suffering due to this decision.
• You can not complete the procedure of MI1, MI2 and MI3 application with in the time frame.
• You were unable to announce correct number of applications received timely so thousands of applications were returned due to cap reached.
• You are unable to announce amendments in FSW program and millions of people are suffered by this pause.

So you are advised to resign other wise a movement is started to dismiss you.

I for one actually support Mr Kenney in what he is doing. Has basically admitted that the current immigration procedures are not working and need to be looked at and changed.

The halt on the new FSW applicants is a good step in removing the back log of applicants that they have already received. They also have a chance to make the process better so that when they reopen the NOC list and allow new FSW to apply they dont just go into a waiting queue which in many cases on this forum is a lot longer than 6 months.

I wait to see how they implement new rules or changes in procedure but Mr Kenney has given them a chance to really look at how things are done and bring about change that has the potential to make things so much better.

Good on ya Kenney for taking such a bold move, please don't go and mess it up now

What Mr. Engineer is suggesting will have absolutely no effect on Kenny.

I am sorry for all (Including Myself) waiting to apply FSW this time
But its a good move - to clear up the backlog and plan for the new applicant.. I don't see it as a ban but only short PAUSE ......
So many were waiting More than 4 years, for decision............. 6 months is a very short and hopefully New MI may have all easy formates and fast decision tree.
Its a very postive and encouraging (but disappointing) anouncement

I myself was disappointed of this announcement. I have set everything and ready to submit.. But on the other hand, I just hope Mr. Kenney has a better ideas in the next immigration process. Just He should have announced it earlier like 3 months, or even 1 month earlier from JUNE 28!! So that as early as those times people would have started backing up and pulling out their files and stop completing their docs for FSW category..

Mr kenney while acting as immigration minister failed to perform in the manner that He willfully kept thousands of applicants in dark and cheated them by lying that they will be called as per queue and after four years of false promises tried to return their applications and money without interest. He kept these innocent families in tension and put them in depression by his cheatful actions. He lowered the imige of canada in the eyes of world. He is an arrogant person and can spoil the nation image in future also So it is proposed to dismiss him with immidiate effect without any right of appeal.

that's probably one of the reasons. the problem is that when the Harper govt took office and JKenny became the Immigration Minister, he started to issue MIs. One of those, MI 1 took effect on Nov 29, 2008 and was applied retroactively to FSW applications recd on or after Feb 27, 2008. After that, he issued more MIs. Processing of applications pre-Feb 27, 2008 came to almost a halt, probably there was a trickle of applications processed, but because the processing of applications under the new MIs were given priority, applications pre-Feb 27, 2008 piled up and that caused the massive backlog.

When the MI1 was isssued it identified 38 priority occupations. But instead of processing applications pre-Feb 27, 2008 that qualifies under the 38 priority occupations, new applications were accepted further building up the backlog as more MIs were issued. He just released his MI5 ordering a freeze on FSW intake and there is still a huge backlog coming from MI1 applications alone. The promised processing period of 6-12 mos for MI1 never happened. Further, the old apps (pre-Feb 27, 2008) were basically 'warehoused'. Those are the ones JK wants to simply 'delete' from the system.

To the original poster-

While I can understand that you are upset, do you really think potential immigrants really even have a say in immigration laws of countries, let alone call for his resignation or organize a movement for his dismissal ?(online or in person).

Please come to terms with the fact that they are not as open for immigration as they were earlier and move on. (At one point, so was the U.S when people could just land on their shores and be accepted, but not anymore)..
