Very unlikely. Hypothyroid is easily controlled by low cost medication. It is fairly common.nioosha said:I have hypothyroids, can anyone tell me can it affect my medical check for PR?
I found it out today and I have to take my medical exam in one nad half month :'(
yes, hypothyroidism or any other disease which could not be a burden on canadian economy is cosidered a normal case and is not a hurdle in MR.Leon said:Very unlikely. Hypothyroid is easily controlled by low cost medication. It is fairly common.
Take your medication as prescribed and when you have your medical, if the doctor asks what medication you are on, tell them. It is really not a problem.nioosha said:Thanks every body for replying. Now I dont know should i take medication for hypothyroid or not when I go for medical(I am going for medical check by this week)??? ??? and should I tell the doctor about my problem or not??? Thanks
relax... they don't do a test for thyroids (e.g. tsh etc). so even if you don't declare, they will not come to know. having said that, even if you declare, they will not reject you because of this. it's a common condition mostly in females. my spouse is having the same condition. we cleared the medical and have received our passport request.nioosha said:have anyone here passed the medical exam with hypothyroids? it really warm my heart if I know somebody with same situation passed the medical exam...
Thank you Ja77,have you declrared about your spouse thyroids? I'd rather not to declare about that, because really it is not a serious problem as my doctor told me.ja77 said:relax... they don't do a test for thyroids (e.g. tsh etc). so even if you don't declare, they will not come to know. having said that, even if you declare, they will not reject you because of this. it's a common condition mostly in females. my spouse is having the same condition. we cleared the medical and have received our passport request.
