Ok, so here is a weird one.
I'm anxiously awaiting extension of a Visitor Visa, and have started checking the website now that my application is expected to be processed - based on current waiting times.
So finally today, I noticed in the overview page on MyCIC (under the list of "submitted applications or profiles"), that the details value changed to "Approved" - the same status as my previous/old application(s) have.
(it was showing "Submitted" up untill this morning).
However, when I look at the details of my extension by clicking on "Check Status and Messages",
it shows for "Application/profile Status: Open", and "Final Decision: Not Started".
(And no new messages for that matter).
Arrgghhhhh
I'd like to be excited that it was Approved, but I'm afraid to get too excited too soon.
Does anyone know why this discrepancy? Is it some kind of delay in how the systems update?
Or was it "Approved" to be looked at?
(PS I'm hoping that by the time someone actually provides feedback this would have been resolved - in which case I'll follow up in here for future readers).
