Discrepancy between online and paper applications

I just realized that the online application is still asking for the bio page of the passport, whereas the paper application checklist was updated in June 2021 to ask for all pages of the passport. Which makes sense since they're asking this from everyone, and they used to ask for this back in the in-person days during the interview for everyone.

My question is, has anyone who submitted their citizenship application online between June 2021 and now had their application returned because of this? Or did they ask you for to upload this info yet?

If it is a requirement then I think anyone that sent their application online should follow up and send these in advance to reduce delays. Just a thought. But I'm not sure if they're treating online applications differently, since they have very specific criteria for them (single, not a crown servant, etc.) so could it possibly be that they don't need that info from them?

Thanks!

Typically for paper applications, they go by the validity update for the time you sent it. So you wouldn't have to now send different documents because the checklist changed after you sent it in. You went by the checklist for the validity date of the application you submitted. Other more experienced folks can check me but I don't think they'd need that info after the fact and I wouldn't send it unless requested either. Sending extra stuff unrequested is more likely to cause delays.

I see what you mean, and I agree with that. But I'm referring to online applications after the paper application checklist was updated. Do you see what I mean?

Before June 2021:
Online and paper application had the same passport requirement

After June 2021:
Paper application checklist changed, online application stated the same as before.
