discourage?

I read in the CIC pages that some of the quotas were filled, that is they get the 1000 applications, while others look around the 5 or 6 hundred, they said that they can not guaranty your application to be processed...

are they just trying to discourage the applicants.

I am just about to send mine next week and my quota is about 550 filled (it has been growning about 100 applications per month since january)

what do you think?

This is true. They are not discouraging. Its the limit set by governmanet. Hurry up, apply as soon as possible.

we just have to go to consulate wednesday for the certification of the copies

I am not encouraging you to dawdle, but take a breath. It has taken 8 months to reach 550. You should be IN! You can also check the PROJECTIONS on the tracker sheet for reassurance. It really is quite unbelieveable HOW LONG it takes and how quickly the weeks merge into months when you are trying to assemble all the documents and wait for people to respond with referenc letters, etc. Good Luck.
