Hello guys,
I recieved my landing interview letter last week and interview was scheduled today at 1.30pm at 1148 Hornby Street, Vancouver. Here is my experience.
1) Reached there at 1pm. Had to press the buzzer on the door. Security gaurd told me to wait. Few people came after me. Security gaurd let us in at 1.10pm
2) This center is very small with only three counters. I had to wait around 15 minutes. I was called at counter 3 at 1.25pm
3) The guy who took my interview was very polite. He greeted me and told me to take a seat. He told me to give my passport, two photographs, proof of ropf and previous permits.
4)First question he asked me was why my file was refused(my express entry application was initialy refused so i had to go through judicial review to reopen my file). Then he asked about my current employment
5) Then he told me he will ask some standard questions to which i hv to answer yes or no. He asked if i ever commited a crime, do i hv any dependent and was i ever asked to leave canada. Then he crossed all my previous visas and permits and wrote void on them
6)Then he printed two papers both same. Told me to check if all the information is correct. Then he told me to put initials at three placed and signature at the bottom.
7) Then he kept one paper and gave me the other one and said this is ur COPR. And told me i need to keep it safe to apply for citzenship. Also i have to change my Sin number.
8) He told me that my pr card will arrive by mail in 2-4 weeks.
And then he congratulated me and said those three magical words “Welcome To Canada”
Finaly i would like to wish all of those who r awaiting their PR a very good luck
