Direct flight or connected Flights

Hello Friends,

What would be the best option if we travel to Toronto.
1. Connected Flight (KHI - Dubai - Chicago - Toronto)
2. Direct Flight (KHI - Toronto)

If i choose option no. 1, what are risks available during travel? like wait for next flight, security clearance of each airport etc.... if anyone can explain.
because option number 1 is much cheaper and convenient than option no. 2 according to my travel plan.

Please have some competent advice.

To clear my doubt, is there any direct, non stop flight between KHI - YYZ??.
As per my understanding most flights are with at least one or two stops.

I suggest, you choose the flights with better fare even though there are one or two stop over but consider lesser wait times at the airport ( preferably not more than three hrs at one airport). Better to avoid via US sector, because you need transit visa for USA and some airlines may apply their baggage rules from US to Canada. Choose flights via DXB - FRA , or DXB- LHR, other than via US. But if the travel agent assures you same baggage rules till reach Canada and if you have a visa for USA, there is no problem. However, there is no much problems in transiting as I did travel through most of these sectors during my trips to and fro Canada.

Agreed. You can also choose flights via HKG, that is, KHI - HKG - YYZ on Cathay Pacific

PIA has a direct flight from KHI (Karachi) to YYZ (Toronto). Many people from Pakistan, especially those with young children, prefer this direct flight just to avoid stop-overs.

Excellent. If PIA has a non stop flight, that should be preferred.
