Digital Photo in Online Application

Hi,

I am applying for a IEC, and have one small question about the digital photo I need to upload. I have taken and scanned a picture in the dimensions required. Should I crop the picture of me in those exact dimensions, or is it okay if I upload the picture on a white A4 backdrop from the scanning?

you need to match the requirements as stated in the IEC document list so basically a passport size picture scanned at 600 dpi max 240kb . Refusals or delays are not unknown for not following the instructions http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/iec/apply.asp but do not overthink or over complicate things which is why for IEC never understand why anyone doesnt just find a photobooth that does passport photos if they have one in their country instead of doing a selfie and cropping.
