Difficulties to fill the form IMM5257E for Transit visa

This is the third time I´m applying for a Canadian Visa and the second for a Transit visa to travel from Lima, Peru to London, UK, and return.

Previously (two years ago), I haven't had any problems filling all the required information, but now I have found a new form IMM5257E that seems to have some inconsistencies.

I have an Air Canada ticket Lima-London-Lima via Toronto departing from Lima on March 14, 2011 and returning from London on Jun 10, 2011. I will stay at the airport as long as necessary to make a conection and do not intent to visit Toronto this time, so a 48 hours Transit visa applies.

However, I'm not sure how to fill the following sections at form IMM5257E.

Section: Details of Visit to CanadaThere is no "Transit" option in this section. If I select "Other" the form forces me to fill not-applicable fields as "how long you plan to stay" which requires dates "from" and "to". "Funds available for my stay" and "Name, address and relattionship of any person(s) or institution(s) will visist". It is not possible to enter "NA" instead of dates and/or funds. If I leave any field blank the form doesn't validate.

Section: Current OcupationAccording to the instructions I'm able to state "Retired", which is my present condition. Doing so, the form forces me to fill "my present job" including the "From" and "To" date, "Company/Employer/Facility name" and "City, Country". If I leave any field blank the form doesn't validate.

Besides, in the Family Information form IMM564E, what is the option for Transit visa in the Type of Application section: Visitor or Other?

Is it necessary to validate the forms? If the form doesn't validate are the five barcodes valid?

Will appreciate very much any enlightment in order to fill the form correctly.

On page 2 Under details of visit select other, then in (b) write transit visa to where ever you are heading with the flight details.

Okay, I can enter "Not Applicable" except in the "From" and "To" dates and "funds" that require numerical data. If I leave them blank the form doesn't validate.

Any other solution?

Well you will be in Canada for one day, so use those dates. Put in any amount (that is reasonable.) It will accept the same date to and from. Just put in none in who you are going to visit.

And yes, at this time I'm in London.

Hi,
I have a bad difficulty in my application!!
I have applied for temporary residetn visa, but in IMM5257E I enterned the date when I plan to stay in Canada mistakenly!
I contacted the embassy by E-mail, fax and phone, but there was no response so far.
Now, I don't know what to do!
I was told to send another application form, but what happens to the first?

Would you please help me?
