Hi
In August 2012 I received RQ 100 days after the test and submitted my supporting documents in the beginning of September 2012. So far I have had no new. A few days ago I called CIC and after several attempts I finally managed to speak with one of the agents. I was told as far as my file is concerned everything looks in order and the RQ processing time for GTA is 37 months from application receiving date so I still have another 10 months to wait. The agent told me two things that I did not know.
1. Different regions have different processing time for which other regions are experimenting longer processing time.
2. More then half of the 1200 people who have recently taken the oath are those who had received RQ.
If the second claim is accurate we are hearing good news since CIC is processing applicants RQ supporting documents.

Thanks for the info.

I do have a query for you .I am not able to figure out why other regions/local offices are "experimenting" for longer processing times .Did you mean "experiencing" rather than "experimenting".

Thanks for your time.

Sorry what I meant was experiencing.
I am not sure if the longer RQ processing time has anything to do with the number of the applicants since I personally believe this number must be higher in GTA compared to other parts of Canada.

they told me 35 months for montreal
They told me 37 months for Montreal. I'm not sure how much faith I have in these estimates, which are predominately based on the processing rate of pre-OB407 RQ cases.

While I hope that this is true, until they publicly release any statistics or documentation supporting this claim, I would take it with a grain of salt.
