Can someone please help clarify the work experience required for FSW.

I have 1 full years of experience in Canada as a retail manager (NOC B) and 6 years experience as a geologist (NOC B) outside of Canada. Can mix the 2? Or does my skilled work in Canada have to be as a Geologist?

Your year of experience in Canada should qualify you for Canadian Experience Class, which has several advantages over qualifying only for FSW. Your foreign work experience can yield extra points in combination in education and/or language scores.

I can't apply for CEC because it has just expired by 3 months, it can't be older than 3 years for CEC.

Is it ok to combine occupations for FSW, even though the primary occupation is different? same NOC codes.

You get maximum credit for 3 years of foreign work experience in EE. I'm not sure what you want to combine with what. If your Canadian work experience is too old to qualify for CEC, then you would qualify for FSW on the basis of your overseas skilled work - assuming 12 months of continuous employment in the same NOC code. What primary occupation is different from what?
