Hi all,
I'm working full-time for an animation studio (calling it A here for short) and this October I would have enough hours for CEC.
Studio A has many projects and each project has their own contract for employees to sign but A paid salary to their employees (includes tax, CPP, EI, insurance benefits)
From Oct 2020-Jun 2021, I'm working on project B, my paystub is issued by B, as well as my T4
From Jun 2021-now, I'm working on project C, same duties as in project B, paystub is issued by C, as well as T4
Here are my questions:
1. I'm not self-employed in this case, correct?
2. When I ask them for employment letter, they would give me 2 letters with same content, the only difference is the format of the letter (letterhead, name of company). Is it ok if they have the exact same job duties? Should I explain my situation to CIC in letter of explanation?
